Haley Broadaway
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Haley started her therapeutic journey as a client and understood the magnitude of the initial “first step” into the world of healing.  Healing does not come with a map or a “how-to” guide because everyone is unique! Haley’s goal is to tap into your natural strengths to help navigate which route is right for you while cultivating a safe space to shine a light on your inner resiliency.  Haley has experience with individuals, couples, and family systems and recognizes many different “hats” you can wear within those three modes.  She believes that boundaries and emotions are a big part of identity security and her goal is to help you recognize what your boundaries are in all contexts of your life.

Haley is a trauma-informed therapist and survivor. It is important to recognize the intersectionality within trauma and understand the varied nature of generational traumas, identifying the different effects of trauma, no matter the developmental stage in life. She is most proud of her work with grief and has helped many families with terminally ill loved ones (of all ages). Haley also understands that grief comes in many different forms of loss and is not reserved for what society deems "grief appropriate." Grief sometimes looks like the loss of a job, being robbed of a choice, not completing a goal due to uncontrollable circumstances, and much more. She will always hold space, being mindful of your needs as a client, and help you process your grief, no matter how long it has been since the loss took place. Above all, Haley will believe you, support you, and cultivate a meaningful therapeutic relationship that encourages individuality and self-love. Your life matters, you are worthy, and you are not alone.

Haley is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #119071), practicing under the supervision of Erica Ives, MFT #34566. She received a master's degree in Mariage & Family Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Haley is also a member of INELDA (International End of Life Doula Association) and a trained death doula. She received her training in May 2017 in Buffalo, New York.
